an afternoon with faith
Faith is home for the weekend. She needed a break from college and roommates. She needed our love. This afternoon we had such a fun mother-daughter lunch trip. We ate at Nature's Grill and it was delish. We both got the soup and 1/2 sandwich and a smoothie. Yum!
After lunch we had a little "Target therapy." Here is what I got her: 2 sweaters (one striped, one with a bird on it), 2 Moleskin notebooks (in pink), a nail polish and a purse-sized hand sanitizer. We also found some boots for her which we are ordering online and having sent to her dorm room because they didn't have her size in the store. That's a pretty good pick-me-up, don't you think? Mostly we like going around the store together and browsing and talking.
And after Target we had a super fun time getting a latte at Coffee Bean and looking at fashion blogs and talking about clothes. Good times, I tell you. I'm glad I have a daughter.

Love that you are posting every day!
I love those mother daughter times with my mom, I have two small daughters now so time with my mom is really focused more on the girls, I am so excited to have time for mom daughter shopping time with them as they grow older and with my mom too. :-)
I remember the small moments of family time being so important, so helpful to take the bite out of the homesick school years. What a blessing that you are able to be only a bus ride away, ready to shower her with love.
