It was a classic MB and Syl visit: drinking tea, going out for coffee, browsing the bookstore, playing with babies, cooking and eating good food. I also gave her her gift, which she liked very much, and we made Nigella's lemon-syrup loaf cake (from How to Be a Domestic Goddess), which was a big success.
Lots of sitting around and talking, just nice. We wish we could do that over the back fence, but until we move in next door to each other, these little visits will have to suffice.
