Window Hearts

Much better day yesterday. Rainer was back to his sweet happy self and everyone else went to school and daycare. The most exciting thing that happened is that I got the two craft books I ordered from Amazon--Jenny Hart's Sublime Stitching, and Amy Butler's In Stitches. Both look great. The Amy Butler book has tons of projects that look appropriate for gifting. Every year I get excited about the prospect of giving handmade Christmas gifts, and mostly I don't get them done, but nonetheless I really like having all these fab projects just laid out for me, ready to put into action when time allows.

These window hearts were a project from several years ago. I'm pretty sure the original idea came from Martha Stewart magazine, or Martha Stewart Kids. Just press crayon shavings between two sheets of waxed paper and cut out whatever shape you want. Mine are really faded now. I need to re-do them. Maybe next year.

I love your Window Hearts. I might try to do this project with some of the kids at the office.
