mother-daughter back-to-school pedicures

243/366 :: mother daughter pedicures

Last week, on my last official day of summer vacation, Faith and I went for pedicures.  I was dying to get my feet freshened up before the start of school.  I never used to get pedicures, but lately I've been going every few months and I may or may not be getting addicted.  I'd love to go every month and a half or so.

We're still looking for a good local, cheap pedicure.  I loved the place Carrie and I went when we were in Covina (Century Nails in Covina in case you are near there--they did an excellent job).  Locally, we're still looking.

What are your go-to beauty treatments that you "hire out" for?  I want to get a facial pretty soon, as my face is suddenly looking "older" and I'd love to get recommendations from a professional.

I have to totally recomend a facial, microdermabrasion, and a peel. I hit 40 last September and treated myself to the work. I felt so refreshed and my skin glowed. You can usually find good deals on Groupon. You will love it!

my mom and I get pedi's almost every two is definitely a treat to her and I as we never did it before, but the past year or so as we've done more marathons and half marathons it seems a nice reward to our poor beaten feet!
I like to treat myself, okay this is weird, but every once in a while it is nice to get a good eyebrow wax, just to retame, reset the lines, and have a few minutes of feeling like things are in place - even if I am still only wearing chapstick and face lotion at least my eyebrows aren't crazy!!!
