I've gotten out of the blogging habit lately, but I do like keeping the blog current, so I thought I'd get back into the swing of things by posting some picture heavy, small posts. I've been tired (and stressed!) lately, but we had a little pocket of weekend contentment. On Sunday morning I set out for farmer's market with the boys, with low-to-no expectations for how it was going to go, and it turned out to be sweet, happy, and simple. I've found that the key to a happy farmer's market experience is to go in for 1 or 2 things, tops, and then let it be fun and child-led. My shopping list this week consisted of one item (kale), but I ended up buying some pretty red berries for Christmas decorating as well. After that, I bought the boys tamales and they played in the lovely sunny weather. And we went for coffee and hot cocoa. Dieter got a Christmas tree shortbread and Rainer got a brownie bite. Good times, I am telling you. Later, we picked out a tree. The rest of the weekend was busy and crowded, but I so appreciated that morning with my boys.

Feeling a bit jealous of all the sunshine in your pictures. Looks like a lovely weekend. Your boys are looking quite grown up! Hope you are enjoying the holiday days!

I love sweet outings with the little ones. It looks like you had a lovely time. Ooh, i miss seeing flip flops and warm sunshine. I love the fabric on your purse. Did you make it?

Best kind of outing...and you're so lucky to have this beautiful sunny Californian weather ;)

Lovely--you made me hungry for tamales! How great would it be to have a rainbow of teapots?? And flip-flops in December!! I'm always so amazed by your weather. This time of year can be so stressful. We're traveling to Colorado for Christmas, and I'm seriously starting to regret that decision!! Hope you get some more calm moments!

Rainier is looking so happy and healthy, and growing up to be such a handsome boy. He looks as though he's nearly as tall a Dieter.

Why is your child wearing a Mizzou shirt? Have you no school pride?

Hello Mary Beth,
Glad you're back. I am curious, do you manage your weight watchers via the Internet or going to one of their locations? I have been thinking about trying it. I wonder if I would be more successful going and "weighing in".
It's so hard this time of year. People have been tempting me with sugary treats left and right. Ugh!

Rain--yes, I made it! It's the "mama bag" from Handmade Home.

Carrie--you are right. I should have gotten them KU shirts when I was out there!

Amy--I highly recommend doing the program with a friend and "in person"--meaning, actually attending a meeting and going for the weigh-in. It helps a lot with the accountability. I'm planning to do a big post on Weight Watchers in the next couple weeks, so stay tuned.
