scenes from the weekend
How are you holding up? We had a pretty low key weekend and mostly stayed close to home. Friday night it rained, so we drove up to the mountains on Saturday morning in search of snow. No matter how high we drove, all we could find was a light dusting. It was still so fun to take a family drive and feel the super cold air up there (it was 31 degrees!). We even brought along some hot cocoa.
In other news--Ken and I celebrated our "first date" anniversary (twelve years) and went for a movie. We saw "Silver Linings Playbook" which was good and uplifting. Perfect for right now. And today we made cookies and had dinner at Chipotle in the evening. Yummy parenting moment: seeing Rainer put together his little tacos from the "make your own taco" kit at Chipotle. There was just something poignant about seeing him scoop his food into a tortilla and roll it up himself.
Have a good week, everybody. And a special shout out to those of us still working this week (!).
