key to drinking more water?

acrylic cup acrylic cup

I bought this little cup last summer after seeing Rachel's post. It makes drinking water much more appealing (normally I hate water and basically never drink it).  I love seeing the ice clink around and I love drinking from a straw.  There is something very comforting about this.  Supposedly, it's BPA free.  Hopefully that doesn't mean they chose something equally toxic to replace it with.

I've tried Klean Kanteens (they leak!  So frustrating!) and I was thinking pretty hard about trying a Life Factory bottle (Faith has one and likes it) but with this straw I don't have to tilt my head back at all and I just like it.  I bought one for work too and it's perfect.

Thanks so much for everyone's encouragement about no sugar!  I've gone 2 days with no desserts or sugary treats.  I'm trying to eliminate most sugar.  I'm not going to go crazy reading all labels, but I did find the bread I bought from Trader Joe's has molasses in it.  I'm going to search around for a sugar free bread just because.  I've done really well these past 2 days without cravings, but I do need to watch my calories still, if I want to lose weight, which I do.  So tomorrow I'm stepping it up.  I'll keep you posted.

Another great bottle for drinking more water is Camelbak's Eddy (or Groove, which has a filtration system built into the straw) - it uses their signature bite-and-sip valve, with a straw for upright drinking. There's something really fun about drinking it, too! I used to HATE drinking water and just by carrying the bottle around with me, I easily drink 1-2 liters a day. They come in a few sizes, materials, and colors, and are under $15.

that's a good idea! I love water, but often I don't think to stop and take a sip! this would be a great companion!!!

Glad you like yours! I'm so obsessed with mine now, especially for pool vacations. We went to Desert Hot Springs last weekend and I was so sad that I forgot it!
