ventura pier

at the beach at the pier at the pier view from the pier view from the pier flag :: ventura pier

Carrie is still visiting (from Kansas!), and the other day we decided to take a little trip to Ventura to walk down the pier. We hit a lucky day--instead of the cold/overcast/gloomy weather that has been happening along the coast, instead it was mild and even a little bit sunny. There was a large "junior lifeguard" group practicing on the beach. It is fun walking to the end of the pier--you feel like you are so far out on the water. We also went down to the beach and sat on our towels for awhile, watching the waves and listening to the sound of them. It was relaxing to be there without any children along. What a great stress relief it is to be by the side of the ocean.

These are great photos! I grew up in So. Cal. so its lovely to see. My grandfather used to take me out to the pier in San Clemente.

Happy Birthday to Faith!

We were at Eric Ericson's on Saturday enjoying that beautiful pier, too!
It is so lovely. Did you see the wedding?

Thanks, all, for the kind thoughts.

Jennifer--no, I didn't see it. We were actually there Friday morning. Glad you were there enjoying too!
