I was tidying the craft studio today in anticipation of Carrie's visit (she arrives on Monday! So glad). In doing so, I cleaned up the inspiration board a bit and changed out a few images. I love looking at this board--it is so soothing!
A quick look reveals what I apparently like--domestic scenes, children's things, women's fashion, color.
It occurred to me as I was working in the studio that these images bring me a lot of happiness and it's really okay to keep and store some of them (to rotate in and back out again). I worry a lot about/hate clutter--and I'm a tosser by nature--but these inspiration images are worth holding on to for a time. I have a big pocket folder (above) that the images slip easily into, and they can even be arranged seasonally.
How is your weekend so far? We ate outdoors tonight and it was thankfully warmer than fourth of July, so nice to sit out. Tomorrow we're going to see Brave. I hope Rainer lasts through it!
