ice play
At the very beginning of the summer, the boys were really getting into making these little ice sculptures. Just take a paper cup or a balloon and fill with water. Freeze for awhile--a little or a lot--then unmold and see what you get.
I'm an especially big fan of the hollow ice cups. So cool! The partially frozen balloon was pretty but fragile.

Great idea! It is so hot here in the Midwest. 108 yesterday! I am sharing this with my youth program staff so they can still try to get the kids outdoors and off screen time even in the heat.
