sensory party!

sensory party sensory party sensory party sensory party sensory party sensory party

We had a little sensory party today. I'd say it was a hit--everyone seemed to have a good time--but the "sensory" theme seemed to fall by the wayside. Mostly the kids wanted to jump on the trampoline (with the sprinkler directed on them) and (secondarily) eat snacks. Which was totally fine. One activity that did get a bit of attention: dip one hand in ice water and one hand in warm water--  count to sixty and transfer both hands into a bowl of room temperature water. The ice-water hand feels hot and the warm water hand feels cold. It's pretty cool.

This is so cool! What a fun way to explore the senses.

I would have been all over the food station too!! Kind of sucks that you must have put so much thought into that and the kids couldnt focus but its a great idea anyway!
