We had a really fun time on New Year's Eve saying goodbye to the sun at Meditation Mount (our tradition) and playing games and eating snack-y type foods later at home. Our game of Sorry was particularly raucous!
Some favorites and notables from 2011--
:: pillow forms. I was so happy to discover pillow forms--so light and clean and better than the heavy Ikea pillows I'd previously been using which were constantly leaking feathers.
:: table runners. My favorite quick sewing project of the year. I barely sewed at all this past year, but the table runners were fun and satisfying.
:: my favorite movie: The Descendants. This is my favorite kind of movie--kind of real, kind of weird, where the characters are not necessarily totally admirable, and yet the message is uplifting in the end. Others from the past that are like this: The Cooler and Sideways.
:: my little red coffee filter holder. I love making coffee this way now.
:: new recipe favorites: warm arugula salad with chickpeas, Morroccan chicken stew
