i made a skirt!

This was very easy to cut and sew up (it's Simplicity 7655). What attracted me to this pattern is that it is cut on the bias (so if done in stripes or plaid, it would come together in a chevron down the front seam. I'd love to do one like that). I cut this last week and sewed it up on Saturday. I know I always say this, but I love a quick project. This fabric is very thin, so I have to wear a slip with it. Also, I'd cut a size larger next time. Basically, though, I think this is successful, and very close to the summery look I was going for. (Because the home sewn clothes never turn out exactly as we had hoped, do they??)

Nice work--very Sundance (maybe it's the belt & shoes). I've been dying for some free time to work on a few projects of my own.

Very cute- I would like to make a skirt- but haven't gotten around to it yet. Very summery!

Are you doing the 30 Day Vegan starting in August? I am so excited to do it again!

Thank you, Simply. Splendid. Living. That is nice to here. I'm actually extremely unphotogenic, which is why I hide my face (in photos) sometimes.

I have that same fabric! It has been sitting on my shelf since last fall. You inspired me to make my own skirt! Maybe a back-to-school one!
