I love rainbow order and am always happy to incorporate it into a craft project. The boys and I were able to whip out this little rainbow garland in two sessions. They helped pick out and hand me fabric and I cut and sewed. Easy and satisfying. Especially since the art projects hanging on the line were looking crowded and droopy and the space needed something different. This is bare and bright for summer.
Their little bookshelf got a clean out too. I stashed away a bunch of books they are not using or that I don't enjoy reading to them and made some much needed room on the shelf. It's frustrating and super discouraging to me when their bookcase gets so crowded that we all start stacking books precariously at the top and on the floor. After I cleaned it out I of course attempted to arrange the books by color. Their spines are so tiny that it's hard to get a striking effect, but it's still kind of pretty, no?

Mamie Girl--I cut the triangles so that they can be folded over the line (in this case it's piping) and then I just stitch straight down the line. Does that make sense? So when cutting the triangles, cut on the fold.

So, for the truly dim here, did you just fold the triangles over and stitch along the line, without sewing the 'front' and 'back' of each triangle together? And did you hem each one first? I'm thinking I could just about manage that...
Hi Diane. I folded each triangle over the seam binding and simply stitched straight down the length of it. Also, I just left the edges raw--no hemming! This is a really fun and fast project.

Purl Lamb--it is from The Wooden Wagon (an online shop). I've gotten lots of wooden toys there but this puzzle is probably the best. Highly recommended. (It comes in two sizes, ours is the larger one).
