a winter picnic
We drove up into the mountains a little ways this weekend for a wintry picnic and we were treated to a little snowstorm! Such a wonder in Southern California.
At first it seemed like just a bit of slushy rain would fall, then it began to hail a little (with the cutest white round pellets), then finally there were real, fluffy white flakes. Actual snow! There were a lot of hikers and picnic-ers headed up the path to the falls. The boys loved just jumping and running around in it. A great memory for us all.

Those boys look so grown up. Very boyish with no toddler left.
So fun and pretty! Your boys are adorable and I'm marveling about your glass dishes and ceramic plates on a picnic!
That is such an awesome surprise!! My boys are dying to see snow... they do snow angels at the beach. How wonderful to live somewhere where snow is a drive away. And I love your picnic scene. :)
Love your gray jacket! You look like you're straight out if a J Crew catalog!
looks like a marvelous picnic! we (in san diego) are still enjoying the snow on the mountaintops in the distance, but we weren't able to enjoy it so close!
Totally Cool.
Hand slap!

Wasn't it amazing!!!! Our side of town had snowy hail I could quite call it snow and not feel as if I was pushing the truth : )
Looks like a super fun day!! I dont envy the snowstorm though, we have had snow on the mountain at least twice this summer and now its autumn and sooo cold! I feel so neglected by the sunshine and heat at the moment lol
Just lovely!! You look really happy! :)
