thank you!

new thrifted lamp

I got a new thrifted lamp over the weekend. I like it. It is certainly different and better than the flimsy tippy-over thing we had here before (and which finally broke). I had to buy and new shade and finial for it at Target, so it was not super cheap then, but I just like using thrifted things to decorate the house.

I wanted to thank you all for your very sweet, supportive, and friendly comments over the last week or so, as I've been doing daily blogging. It has been so fun to read all of them. Thanks so much for all the ideas for using nuts, supportive comments about my close snake encounter, and insights and experiences with the whole aromatherapy/yoga thing. I don't get a chance to reply in the comments, or to visit your blogs, very often, but I read and absorb everything you say and appreciate every kind word, so thank you!

I was thinking about starting a formspring to answer specific questions. Anyone have experience with this? Is it easy to use?

So excited--I signed up for 30 day vegan today. No, I'm not going to become vegan, but I'm very much wanting to have a healthy "cleanse" in my life right now. Heather explains it so well in her post.

Happy midweek to you! We are looking forward to rain in the forecast and a long weekend coming up.

Long weekend. The sweetest words to my ears next to California in April.

I love it that you have been posting daily as I just love your blog Mary Beth. It's one of the things I must check daily along with Ebay sales, Facebook and emails. I love your lamp, and I love your recent posts on how to organise life/get things done that you want to do etc. It makes me think about life and inspires me to try to be a bit more organised in my approach to things. Something I don't find easy, especially when everything seems such an effort at the moment, but you seem to do it with such grace and style. I will be sharing some thoughts along these lines on my blog today, I haven't posted for a while but I can feel one brewing! Have a good day!

My daughter was a vegan for two years and then one day walked in the house and screamed, "No one can live without Cheese!!!!" Then she ordered a pizza.
