a little celebration

Last night I thought "wouldn't it be nice to have some cheese and crackers and glass of wine with my true love and enjoy the lovely weather we've been having?" So I ended my sewing early and threw together a little tray. I told Ken we were celebrating it still being July (for a few more hours). July is always a relaxed and special month for us, with no work or school obligations.
Meanwhile the boys were super cute playing in the sprinklers.
Also, they loved the refreshments. Cream cheese is one of their favorite foods ever! It amazes me how much of it they can eat.
Later, Ben came home and the boys were super excited to show him their new lunchboxes that had just come in the mail.
Then Ben got in on some of the sprinkler action as well.
And meanwhile, zucchini bread was cooling in the kitchen for our dessert later.

Such a sweet summer evening! Hope your end of July was just as nice.

wjI love those lunch kits! I'm interested in where you got them/what they are called. My kids have pretty green lunches but I'm always looking out for other ideas.
So glad you're enjoying Summer!!

The lunch boxes are "Planet Boxes." I'm looking forward to more easily being able to pack trash-free lunches. Don't worry--I'm sure I'll be posting lunches in the future!
