thrifting update

When Carrie was here over spring break we went thrifting. We always seem to have good luck when we're together. Here are some of my finds: Yummy textiles--a gigantic retro sheet, towels, and 4 cotton Vera napkins. Score!
Gap jeans in "long" which I love, and a cute t-shirt. Great after work outfit.
I loved the t-shirt just for its little bird. Faith disapproves, though. She says it's a bad brand. I don't know the difference and it has such a cute fit.

Sweater to go with above outfit.

A plate for outdoor summer tables, set with mismatched dishes.
An interesting book that is all written-in by its previous owner.

What have you been thrifting lately?

Oh I love Gap jeans! Sadly, I "outgrew" my favorite pair a couple of years ago. I REALLY need to get on my exercise bike with relish so I can fit back into them!!

I miss thrifting too...I haven't been in a while. Must go!

Love your finds. I've been scoring some great vintage tablecloths lately. And a couple of summer skirts in wonderful cheerful prints. Our annual village wide tag sale is coming up and I can't wait!

Simple Abundance - a great find. I read each page religiously day after day last year. I loved it. It is a little dated - Sarah wrote it in the 90's but she is so influenced by the 80's! Still fun and insightful. I am rereading it this year.

I love the bird shirt - it should read "Super Mom"!!!

Namaste, Nicole
-love to hear your thoughts on your new book.

What a lovely thrift haul! The fabric is fantastic (and Vera napkins? WOW!). I have a copy of Simple Abundance and I love it--it's a gentle reminder for your days.

I ventured into a new local thrift shop last week and found a great LIz Claiborne fuschia pink suede jacket for $4.00. I love great thrifting finds too!

I love the thrifted finds. I am itching to go thrifting or yard saling this weekend. I love the VERA. Her stuff is amazing.

I love the t-shirt! What does Faith mean that it's a bad brand?

Simple Abundance - one of my readers actually mailed me this book (her used copy)! so sweet.

Hi Saver Queen. Faith liked the little bird as much as I did do you see how the graphic below the bird makes a big letter 'f'? It's a brand logo she does not like, or she just disapproves of wearing brand logos I think is more to the point. To me it was just a random graphic T with a cute bird.
