what I've been knitting lately

Springtime colors . . .
knit into pretty springtime dishcloths.
These are so fun to knit and they totally hold my interest, with the bright colors, variegated yarns, and the fact that they are knit from corner to corner--you start by casting on only 4 stitches, increase until you reach the size you want, then start to decrease. The whole time you watch it either growing or shrinking--so fun!
And I love that they have a little "border"--very exciting for a beginning knitter. This is the "Company Dishcloth" from Knitting Pretty. I can see myself knitting up a whole stack in time for Christmas giving--it's never to early to think about that!

So sweet. Little knitted dishcloths seem to be popping up everywhere lately, I love this design.
I haven't had much of a chance for blog visiting of late, I see I've been missing out on so many of your wonderful posts - off to scroll down and have a catch up!

Oh-these are so fun. I think I may have to try to learn to knit and start with a project like this.

I love seeing them with your green glass bunny!

Dishcloths are my favorite little project--and the ones we knit are so wonderful to wash dishes with!!! I love those bright colors--they are perfect for holiday gifts (I'm already thinking that way, too!)

I love your color choices. They are so nice and springy! Dishcloths are addicting, aren't they? They're the perfect size to try something new, like lace. I think I have saved about a dozen dishcloth patterns on my ravelry page...maybe I should cast on!

I knit a little bunny with the same idea, it works great for baby gifts. I too love the increasing and decreasing. It's a free pattern from Lion's Brand yarn, super quick to knit.

Love the pretty colors!

I love the bright cheery yarns you chose for these. I haven't knitted any dishcloths yet, but now I absolutely have to! Thanks so much for sharing.

Thanks everyone, for the dishcloth love!
Kelly and Kelly--I'll have to try to find that bunny pattern. Sounds like just my sort of thing--very "Children's Year."
Meg--I've been meaning to hunt around Ravelry for more patterns too. I'm on there but such a novice at using it. Thanks for the reminder.

My Mum sent me over a little bundle of faceclothes...and I love them!
Your colours are so Spring like I'm sure anyone would be happy with them as a Christmas gift...definitely not too early to start thinking about that!

I don't knit, but I do crochet, and I love crocheting up a bunch of dishcloths for gifts. I also have a bunch for my kitchen and each bathroom in coordinating colors. Love it!

That yellow and white knitted cloth looks exactly like one that I have that my beloved grandmother made for me. I only have a few of the cloths that she made for me left.

Dish cloths are about the only thing that I know how to knit - at the moment anyways.

Thanks for sharing,
Tricia

Such cheerful washcloths. I like the idea of increasing the pattern, it does seem more interesting than just doing garter stitch.

hi Mary Beth! I am your newest follower and friend. :)

I told Faith I got the most loveliest and charming packaged surprise in the mail today! It was so heart touching because it was so unexpected and if there's anything I love, it's random acts of absolute kindness. I can not thank you both enough!!! I wanted to comment on this because i LOVED the yellow knitted hand towel you made (and I make a lot of kitchen messes as I'm learning to attempt to cook!) and am looking forward to home made jam for my toast tomorrow morning :) on top of everything else! If you don't mind, I'd like to send something back your way for you both. I insist because I was so touched!

Thank-you very much and I'm enjoying reading back on your posts :)
