weekend

Just some soothing images from the weekend, before we head into the new week. Ken and I and the little boys drove up into the mountains. It was cold and drizzly--it felt like a winter treat. It has been such a gift to have a more "real" winter this year.
The boys never tire of throwing rocks into the creek.
I loved the sound of the water rushing over the rocks. Next time I'll take my i-pod along and get a video clip of it.

We had a little picnic after our creek adventure and roasted hot dogs. What were you up to this weekend?

Wow, it sometimes amazes me how different, yet how similar, parts of our country can be. Those pictures could have easily come from any one of 20 places within 5 miles of me here in NC. :) It looks like a wonderful weekend jaunt. I'm glad your boys enjoyed it. We had a relatively peaceful weekend as well, but we were soaking up the sun and warmth.

Beautiful pictures - especially of the green moss.

Nature is so healing - especially after a long week.

Be well,
Nicole
