still not adjusting

I'm embarrassed to say that it's 10:13pm and the boys and I are still up! Party it's because we're not yet adjusted to the time change (I hate springing forward every year), but also when they both take late naps at preschool and daycare it's almost impossible for them to fall asleep at a decent hour. On the upside we read three (!) new Miss Bindergarten books that I checked out for them at the library today. Miss Bindergarten is one series on which we can all agree (unlike the Berenstain bears, which they love and I . . . dislike). Happy spring to you all! Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with a post. Now I'm off to lie down with them (for the second time tonight) and hopefully they'll fall asleep this time!

I am feeling your pain about the time adjustment, and the Berenstain Bears books. Miss B is a welcome friend at our house too.
Hope you guys settle into sleep soon.

Could you tell us a bit more about Miss B as we've not heard of them. (After you have had a good sleep, of course).

I love the extra light in the evenings. But the time change has been harder then I thought it would be on all of us!!

We are all out of it over here too. This whole time change thing just needs to stop!

Childhood Magic--I agree!!

Debs--yes! I'll do a little Miss B post soon, and what I love about her.

Thanks for your kind support everyone. We all got to sleep but I must say I'm not feeling terribly well rested this morning!

Ugh. I hate daylight savings too (although oddly it makes everyone much more tired...like we want to go to bed at 7 p.m. and sleep until 8 a.m.); it's the getting up in the dark that I hate. None of my kids went to bed easily when they had long daycare naps (and I never could convince daycare to wake them up after an hour) all-day preschool/kindergarten made an amazing difference. My 8-y-o, who was a night owl from birth falls to sleep instantly at 8:00 every night (and earlier if I can get them to bed sooner!)

My little girl has been staying up a little later and sleeping in an hour later (which is welcome at our house). I'll have to check out a Miss Bindergarten book to compare to Berenstain Bears. I like the Bears :)

Oh good luck to you. I am not a big fan of daylight savings nor am I a fan of Bernstein bears. Glad to know I am in good company.
