our apple juice solution

Rainer likes to drink a lot of juice--a really lot. We've been watering it down for a long time now, but more recently we started mixing it up to a consistent proportion. We measure out 1 cup of juice and add 4 cups of water and store the solution in a glass pitcher. Now we are sure of how dilute each portion is and it's consistent, so he doesn't balk at the taste if one parent mixes it stronger than the other. I'm loving this solution and now can rest assured he's only getting about 8 ounces in a day (or so). Oh, and this juice! It's the organic unfiltered from Trader Joe's. I love how murky it is!

our youngest has ALWAYS LOVED juice and we have done the same thing with watering down, great idea with putting it in a glass jar though cause they do quickly catch on to who adds more water and who doesn't (ahem DADS!!!....or at least that's the generous pourer of the juice in our house)

That's a great idea. No more "in the cup" measuring. Much safer for little tummies.

I always water our juice down too. I find the actual concentration really strong, plus it goes much farther with six of us. I love unfiltered apple juice, yum!

That's a great idea! We have always diluted the juice for our kids, but I have never thought of putting it in a separate container.

I always suggest to parents I work with to water down juice--I'll pass along your great idea!!

That undiluted Trader Joes apple juice totally saved me a gallbladder surgery. I drank and drank and drank it and the pectin healed my gallblader. Three years to the day and no problems!

So smart...we haven't introduced juice for our daughter just yet, but once we do, I think this is a great way to do it. Thanks for the tip!
