teens cook

I was browsing through Teens Cook last weekend (while sipping my coffee outside on a long weekend while the boys played nicely in the garden--I love those moments) and Faith decided to make something from the book herself. I'm all about young ones learning to "do" for themselves, so I was totally onboard. It turned out to be a great experience!
{green beans for the veggie packets}
She chose the salmon and veggie packets baked in parchment paper.
{veggies all lined up on the counter}
{the finished meal}
And can you guess what she made for dessert?
Seven layer bars! From the same book. To offset all the healthfulness of the meal!

I'm sure she'll always remember this!
