Would anybody like some fabric scraps? I'm currently trying to tame my overflowing scrap basket and give my studio a little fall clean-out. I have two bundles here, mostly of small scraps, which could be used for little projects such as these or maybe these, or even just something like this.
If you'd like a fabric scrap bundle, just leave a comment on this post. I'll close comments on Saturday and draw out two names randomly (assuming more than 2 people comment!)
Now for my other scraps . . . I still have a big trash bag of smaller, more annoying scraps. Any ideas? I love this but doubt I have the pluck to pull it off. What do you think? What else might I do with small irregular scraps? I'm tempted just to toss them but am trying to be more "green."
Closing comments now: thanks for entering everyone!

Mary Beth, This is so generous of you! I would love a bundle as my "stash" is adequate but my scraps, they are very few indeed. And I have wanted to do a strip quilt for a grandbaby. If I win you must let me pay for the shipping etc. This Nonna insists.
How cute! I love your taste. I have been trying to find some cute fabric to make a bunny for my daughter. I love the bunnies you made your kids(:
You have such a nice blog - nice projects too. When I saw your post about the smaller scraps - I was reminded of a project my paternal grandmother used to do with the small strips - she'd pull both ends of a strip thru a piece of plastic (leftover 50 lb rice bags) and basically make a hook rug (by tying the scrap into a knot). Your post reminded me of that...
What fun colors! I love them!
What lovely bits and pieces! Small bits of leftover fabrics that someone else has chosen are always so much more inspiring that the scraps left over from your own projects... :) Here's hoping for some inspiration!
What a lovely giveaway. I'm working on two wedding quilts and one for a new babe. I would love one of them to be a scrap quilt, and one of your beautiful bundles would so help!
what a beautiful giveaway, i would be thrilled to receive some of your beautiful fabrics : ) i am also having a giveaway, i would love for you to have a chance! happy autumn to you!
I would adore your scraps!!!
Ohhhh fabric scraps! LOVE!
My scrap stash is pretty tiny, and I could definitely use a boost for making doll clothing.
I have also been dying to make a fabric coil bowl - the kind where you wrap scraps of fabric around cotton clothesline cord and sew it together into a round bowl.
For your teeny scraps that just dont seem to work in any project, keep them for stuffing plush toys as a great eco-friendly alternative.

Oh, how lovely! I'd love to breathe some fresh life into my stash : )
For your smaller bits, how about some fabric covered buttons, magnets, thumbtacks, patchwork bookmarks, quilted notecards, etc.
(Of course, I'm a big talker because I haven't done ANY of these projects with my own stash, but I assure you I have the best intentions!)
Take care!
What a great giveaway! Lovely scraps, gorgeous colours. Yes, I'd like to partecipate if you don't mind. :)
I think these are cool:

Thank you for the wonderful giveaway. I would love your scraps!
Thanks for the giveaway--those are some lovely scraps! I enjoy your blog very much.
thanks for the giveaway :) so cute fabric scrap!
These are so pretty! Would love a bundle :)
They are way prettier than any of my scraps! I made a little hexagon paper pieced dolls quilt with mine. I hand stitched it (cos I didn't know what I was in for when I started) and it was hard going but looked so good.
Oh these would be great. I am just building a 'stash' so would love your great colours. Thanks for the kind giveaway.
wow, thank you! "if more than 2 people comment" you crack me up!
Lovely scraps!
Thanks a lot for the chance ^^
Fantastic bundles! I'd love to be entered. Many thanks
What a nice giveaway! I love your blog and your simple celebrations have really got my wheels turning with ideas for my own kiddos. :-)
put my name in the hat too! pretty, pretty fabrics!
pretty scraps! I have a few ideas if I am chosen. Thanks so much ;o)
Your scraps would be my treasure.
And I think you do have the "pluck" to pull off that strip quilt. It would be gorgeous and then you could post a photo on your blog, and we could all admire your creativity.
I really do enjoy what you share here.
Blessings.
I have always loved your choice of fabrics!! What a kind giveaway. Happy fall!
Lovely fabric!
My new stash would be happy for the addition!
Instead of tossing the bag of scraps you could try putting it on Freecycle. There might be fellow sewers who would like them!
Oh, they're lovely! What a great match-up of patterns & colors. I've got lots of ideas!
I'd love a chance to win either of these bundles! Thanks so much for the chance. Beautiful treats in there!
I love the yellows and the pinks, so would love scrap bag B!
For your little pieces, some options are to donate them to a school for art projects/collages/etc. or to use them for applique. I took a class on reverse applique and was regretting getting rid of all my little pieces that would have come in so handy!
I love your blog. I'm always inspired by your choice of projects and sense of style. Love the scraps!
i would love some scraps!
I know your challenge with the little scraps! I hate to throw them yet wonder if they are large enough to make anything with. Currently mine sit in a basket that my kids can play with while I sew. I love your blog - I've found oodles of inspiration with it Thank you!
WOULD LOVE A CHANCE TO WIN THIS! SUPER GENEROUS OF YOU!!! HAVE THE PERFECT LITTLE IDEA FOR THESE!!! THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS CHANCE!!
What lovely collections of fabric, perfect for making pockets and patches - prettifying our drab autumn wardrobe. ~Heather
Mary Beth,
I'd be more than willing to take your scraps! Love the green. Fantastic giveaway.
With regards to what to do with smaller scrap pieces check this out:
http://crazymomquilts.blogspot.com/2009/09/ticker-tape.html
From what I understand, the smaller pieces are stitched down on top of a quilt sandwich with raw edges exposed. Personally, I think that's genius.
Thanks for the chance to win.
Oooh, I always admire your fabrics! I hope I'm one of the lucky winners this time!
Oh, those are so pretty. I would love them! Projects that use scraps are my favorite!
What a nice scraps. Count me in. I have many of tiny scraps of fabrics that I can't toss. I have post about with some ideas for those:http://craftfarm.blogspot.com/2009/04/i-won.html
Very thoughtful idea!! I would love some of your very cute fabric scraps. The quilt would be a great idea for your bag of scraps, but would be super time consuming...maybe an ongoing project? Thanks again!!!
Wow, these are gorgeous Mary Beth...perfect for a little patchwork project. So pretty - especially the blues in the first bundle.
well, i was hoping i would be one of the two comments;o)
great giveaway, thanks!
have you thought of donating your smaller scraps? i'm sure there's someone out there who could put them to good use.
How wonderful! So many pretty prints that would be awesome to receive! Thanks for the giveaway!
Wow, this is so generous of you. I would love to help you clean up some of your stash!!! :)
hbowman19@yahoo.ca
ooh id love some scraps. what a generous giveaway.
Oh, what a fun giveaway. Bundle B is calling my name!
I am just getting back to sewing and would love to inherit someone else's cast offs!
How fun! What lovely colors!
Thanks!
You are so kind to share these scraps! You did a great job pairing the fabrics together too! Thanks for the fun giveaway!
Sooo pretty!!
me please! I've been wanting to use fabric on a scrapbook page so if I am a lucky winner,
I can try with your gorgeous fabric.
I would love a chance to get some of your scraps. You have such great taste. I would be thrilled!
Oooh, I would love some of those gorgeous scraps-like a kaleidescope of fabric!
I was just thinking the other day that i needed to start accumulating fabrics... and these would be just the thing to start off my collection!!
Sounds good! I'd love to make the postcard envelopes. I just love your blog. A little cheer every day. Thanks!
Wow! I would love those! I really like the one in the first box on the top right. The blanket you mentioned is beautiful, but it seems like it would take a long time. I’m not sure how big your pieces are, but how about making them into gift? Fabric bookmarks are nice and so are tissue holders. Or you can take them to a thrift store or donate them.
Oh, Mary Beth your taste is impeccable. I love your scraps! I'm planning on making a scrappy baby quilt for some friends of mine who are expecting, so a scrap giveaway would increase my range of options. Your appliqued tees and pants are so lovely, too, I hope to do something similar for my nephew and cousin.
I'd love to win a bag!
For the smaller bits, did you see the quilt here: http://crazymomquilts.blogspot.com/2009/09/ticker-tape.html
I think it's stunningly pretty, but would take a lot of work.
i would love to maybe win your scraps. i just started sewing and am becoming obsessed with making things for my kids and family.
Commenting! Trying to get into small quilting projects and a stack of misc. would be great.
I've been making more small quilts lately and would love to mix in some of your "new" scraps with my tired old stash.
Yes! I love all your fabric projects and would love some scraps. I moved recently and have no scraps bin any more. Thanks for re-cycling those!
Oh what pretty fabrics! I have bags and bags of the tiny, annoying scraps. I have used them in the past as stuffing (for a gnome I knitted) and am saving them with the vague notion of using them for more stuffed projects in the future. I had a clown doll when I was little, made by some nuns somewhere, that was stuffed with fabric scraps...seems like the perfect full-circle, doesn't it? (only I don't make much in the line of dolls/stuffies!)
love the scrap stash. mine is not quite that impressive.
I would love some scraps! I make doll clothes and small toys and maybe someday I'll try a bit of scrappy quilting!
The bundles of fabric are wonderful! I am thinking of making a nice scarf for my daughter for winter. Thanks for your great blog!
Oh so fun! I'd love a bundle!
As for the smallest scraps - I am passing mine on to a friend who is an elementary school art teacher. She requested them for fabric collage with her students. Just an idea!
Thanks for sharing.
Though I have to admit to having an overflow of scraps, having *new* scraps looks like fun! Yours are so pretty!
I'd love your scraps! I'm always doing little projects with scraps with my preschool and my kids!
What beautiful fabrics! Thanks for such a lovely oppurtunity!
What a good idea! I was just thinking that I wish all my scraps weren't from little girl fabrics. That's what happens when you have two dd's.
THanks,
Sharron
Thanks so much! I've been wanting to make an owl trick-or-treat bag with fabric scraps for feathers!
Count me in please! You could use smaller scraps to make fabric covered buttons? Or make patchwork coasters, a table runner or even give them to a school to make collage's.
I love sewing with scraps. I usually use very small scraps and sew them together to make a larger "fabric" which I then sew something with. Check my heart: www.fjellvang.no/quilt
I would LOVE your scraps to be my treasure! Thank you for the chance!
What cute fabrics! Your blog is always an inspiration!
Oh my goodness I could find so many things to do with these beautiful fabrics! especually with Christmas gifts in mind. :)
adding my name to the pile! yay fabric scraps! this would fulfill my desire to have new fabric while sticking to my budget!
oh, and for your other scraps...i have had this picture bookmarked for so long and haven't tried it yet...maybe this would work for some of your irregulars?
http://www.flickr.com/photos/melisaur/309921943/
What a lovely thing to pass on. I wish I could generate as many scraps as that! I love reading your blog. Thank you for sharing.
I love how you separated by colors!
Ooo -- how lovely of you! I'd love more scraps :-)
I would love some of that lovely fabric. You are such an inspriation, love all your posts!
I like to use small scraps for quilt balls. Someone recently asked me for some red, white and blue ones too, which your scraps would be perfect for.
I was just planning on starting some headbands and coasters to use as gifts at Christmas and would LOVE to have some new life added to my scrap pile! Thanks for such a great giveaway!
These scraps are gorgeous, and would love to be entered into the giveaway!
As for the small scraps. I have had this dilema, and when I got to the point where I really wanted to toss them, but couldn't get over the waste, I donated them to my kids school. So many teachers love having things like this for the kids to include in collage art and other things, and it was heart warming to see my daughter come home with art that had bits of my past projects in them. :)
looks like you got more than 2 comments. What brilliant scraps, I would love to add them to my hex scraps....need lots of scraps for those.
i'd LOVE some! How sweet of you!
You are so sweet, I love your fabrics:)
Why not contact the local elementary school - they have gotten such huge cuts in expendures that I'm sure the art teacher could come up with a project using them.
I'd have loved them but can't use what I have now. I would have made catnip mice and toys for the ASPCA or the other many no-kill shelters - sewed together and filled with stuffing they would have made great doggy toys also...
Ah well - dreamers are we all (LOL)...
PatsyAnne
I would happily take them off your hands - what lovely fabrics. There's a tutorial for a fabric scraps bathmat, that that quilt reminded me of. It might be an easier, well smaller, thing to attempt.
http://sewliberated.typepad.com/sew_liberated/2007/11/recycled-bath-m.html
I do not think I would have a problem relieving you of these scraps. I'm especially tempted by some of those in B. Thanks for the giveaway.
spackattak7 at hotmail dot com
count me in (:
lovely fabrics!
I love the fabric with the chickens on it!
For some of your little scraps - you could try something like the fabric garland in Handmade Home. Also, don't forget you can use fabric scraps for cutting and sticking projects or even for stuffing home made sewn projects. We have some knitted nativity characters that are stuffed with small white fabric scraps because we didn't have any stuffing left!
Ohhh! Please enter me in the draw to win your scraps... :)
yay!!! My first opportunity to comment from my new blog! Count me in for the give-away, and please let me know if it's OK to link to your blog from mine. Looking to really branch out and network with women who share my same passions... :)
Thanks for the giveaway. Always in need of a few scraps with all making going on around here.
These would be so great! I'm a new sewer and I'm trying to build my stash. Thanks for a chance to win!
Those are beautiful scraps! I've recently gotten into sewing and would love to make your coasters! What a fun idea!
looks like i'm commmenter #99 so I appologize to # 1 and 2 who hoped no one else would find this giveaway, I'm sure. I love scrappy quilting and the more the merrier. from what I saw in the pics you have great taste and I would love to win. thanks for sharing.
I'd love to be entered, your scraps are excellent, my stash would love to include those!
Sue Cahill (sbonetsue at yahoo dot com)

What beautiful scraps! I am thinking needle cases for me and Princess. Maybe presents too!
oh what a great thing to give away! it would inspire me to dust off the sewing machine and actually make something!
Those are so pretty! How kind of you. We just recently found out we are expecting #3, and I would love to make him/her something out of your lovely scraps. I enjoy reading your blog very much. Thank you for sharing!

http://sewmamasew.com/blog2/?p=431
i hope that link comes through. they are fabric easter eggs with a secret pocket in them. i love reading about your family and love Ranier's hair coming in!
dianne.thomas@ncdenr.gov
i am comment leaving impaired so this isn't really anon.
What lovely 'scraps'... I'll toss my name in too! Thanks!
Scraps, scraps and more scraps. What a wonderful give-away. I framed 3 squares of a crazy quilt my g-g-g-grandmother quilted in the 1880's. I love seeing the various stitches she used and I know it would be a tedious project, but it might be cool to do some of that with your scraps. Practice the embroidery stitches I mean. Who knows, one of your future descendants might frame them as well.
I can't remember how I found your blog, but I've been enjoying it for a couple of week. Your photos are so lovely and your blog seems so "calm." I enjoy that feeling. I haven't been sewing long enough to know what to do with my fabric scraps!
oooh i love those fabrics! absolutely gorgey. i'm a bit of an amateur at sewing still but at almost 16 i've plenty of time for pratice ;) also from the uk so can pay shipping.
rainbowz_r_cool@hotmail.com :)
Wow! I have just found your blog this evening from a link on Craftykin and to find you are going to give away some lovely fabric scraps to 2 lucky people - count me in! I had to laugh at your comment 'presuming I get more than 2 people' as there are now 113 comments! I'm off to have a proper look around your blog! :)
Oh fabric are the best arent they! Would love to try some patchwork on linen bags, have just just started sewing.
Dawn M
What generosity! I would love to give one of your bundles a new home :) xo, Amanda

Yea for scraps. Such a generous stash. Happy autumn!
Is there anything better than a pile of fabric scraps? Pick me! :)
Lovely fabrics!
Great giveaway!! Pick me pick me!! Gorgeous colors and fabrics giving my so much inspiration!
so cute!
I love fabric scraps; please count me in! Thanks!
ap_lemos at yahoo dot com
Such beautiful fabric, count me in!
Yes, please! I am just learning to sew and have no scrap stash at all. I am desperate for my babies to have some "mama-made" things while they are young enough to enjoy them. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!
oh oh! I need fabric!!! How wonderful that you are having a giveaway! Pick me! :)
brierleigh(at)gmail(dot)com
I love scraps! :D
Oh, they're so beautiful! The yellow and teal ones especially just call to me. Why do I love scraps so?
Your blog is lovely. I am so glad Soulemama sent me your way! I am a novice with my sewing machine and need to get over my fear of choosing fabics - this might get me started.
I would love to win a bundle of your beautiful scraps. My elderly mother recently requested new quilted pillows for her couch. I would love to make her one for Christmas.
Super cute bundles! Would love the inspiration and direction right now:)
lillyandbrian@yahoo.com
Wow, I would love to win scraps like these! I'm a beginning sewer, so I barely have a fabric stash, much less a scrap stash!
oh wow I love scraps! Perfect for little bags or small patchwork projects :~)
Thanks for sharing! Great blog!
me gusta! thanks for this nice giveaway. I am trying to rebuild my stash after a few moves this past year saw me jettisoning many of my possessions. A new sewing machine is on the horizon...
I have been wanting to start sewing and this would be perfect to help me get started with some projects.
kimberlysummer40 at aol dot com
Wow - how generous! These are great little bundles. I would love to win these. My hubs is heading to Iraq next month and I will be working hard on all kinds of projects to keep myself busy and distracted. These scraps would be perfect for helping me with those.
Thank you for the opportunity.
Tania
I just discovered your blog via Soulemama. This is so generous to give away some of your scrap stash. I am just starting my first quilt for my sun and have seen quilts similar to the one you posted using tiny scraps - someday I'd love to try that too!
Oh, I hope I am not too late. Lovely fabric!
I'd love to get my hands on those scraps. I'd probably use them for quilting or appliques. Appliquing would be a great way for you to get rid of some scraps!
didn't read all the comments but for your other scraps, how about a rag rug. that's what i'm planing on doing with mine.
I don't think you needed to worry about the number of people commenting -- 140 already! What a fun giveaway. And, your blog is always lovely to read and look at. Thanks!
OOOooh!I would love to have either of these! These scraps are lovely.I just found your blog through Soule Mama.I am excited to peruse it farther. Thank you!
A fantastic and generous idea! I am truly impressed.
What a fun and generous giveaway- and such beautiful fabrics! My stash of fabrics is decidedly small as my budget for such things is almost nonexistent. This is a great idea. I found your blog through SouleMama and have enjoyed reading through your posts. You've given me so many ideas!
Well, I'm new to your blog, but i really do like the recipes, craft ideas - oh especially the boys clothes - such a need in my home too! And it would be lovely to get some fabric that is completly different to what I'm able to find locally. Just a beaiutiful blog, thank you!
I do also love me some scraps! I have it in my head to make a log cabin quilt using one color way to make each block. I've already separated my scraps by color, but am still mustering the motivation to actually start it! I absolutely love the quilt that you linked to!
How wonderful! - I have a 6 1/2 yr. old girl that would love to craft some treasures - she's always digging into my "full size" piece stash. You'll have an ever grateful little girl. These will be perfect to go with the little 1980's singer (girl size machine) we picked up recently while thrifting. Thanks for such a great giveway and such wonderful inspiration.
i found my way here from soulemama's post with your backyard blanket. it's so pretty! i would love a bundle of fabric to play with.
That is a treasure trove of scraps if I ever saw one, mary beth! I am new to your blog-and new to sewing, so these little beauties would be some very welcome inspiration into the sometimes-still-scary world of sewing :o) If I win, I would like to offer to pay for my shipping though!I am in fully-fledged-autumn North Scotland :o)
I'm visiting from Soule Mama, and am loving your blog!
Though I have quite a few scraps leftover from other sewing projects, I've been wanting to make some patchwork pillows, and I just love the patterns of fabric you like.
Also, great idea on those produce bags!
yay for scraps! i'd love to see what little projects i could make for my 4 little ones out of these! :)
I saw your pretty beach blanket over at SouleMama and came over to check out your blog. I can already tell I'm going to have to add it to my bookmarks. Your fabric scraps are such fun colors - I'd love to help you clean out your studio. Thanks for offering.
and I am in the mind of quilting! yay! fingers crossed....
ooh ooh, I woulds love some of your scraps, hope I'm not to late on my comment.
I would love these!!! Great blog!
It would be so much fun to have scraps to play with and lovely ones at that. Thanks for the opportunity.
Yes, please!
Love the scraps...have taken up collecting fabric lately!!!!
I LOVE scraps. I'm actually much more willing to dive into scraps than my stash, typically. Those look beautiful!
Those sure are some beautiful scraps! I love the strip quilt. Thanks for some new project ideas and a generous giveaway.
I love the little bits of fabric. I would be happy to use them at home or in my classroom.
Hi - Just discovered your blog via SAoulemama and would love to assist in a clean out of your craft area if you are shipping internationally! Also your blog is lovely.
rebecca.brennan @optusnet.com.au
Your scraps are gorgeous. I've been working on patchwork blankets for my kiddos for Christmas, and your scraps would make a beautiful addition.
I love these fabrics!
How nice of you. I just love the little bits you showed. My kids love to have at my scraps with their scissors. This lets me sew for several minutes in quiet!
I'd love your scraps - I live far away in Greece (I'll pay postage) where it's hard to find nice fabric.
pat
The designs are beautiful! I've only just embarked on sewing and crafts so this collection would be much appreciated, I'm sure whoever wins will feel the same way! xx
Lovely fabrics! I've just recently moved off a sailboat and am sooo enjoying crafting again - BUT - I do not have a stash of any kind to pull from!
I would love to have some fabric if it's not too late!
I've started a fabric swap -- ongoing -- on my blog, Like Mother, Like Daughter!
Fabric lovers come check it out. You can ask for anything, and you can offer anything, any time...
What a fun giveaway. Just came to your blog via Soulemama and you are now in my bookmarks.
Momma in Utah
Cheers
I'm just beginning to put together a stash. How exciting it would be to add some of your beautiful scraps!
I'd love to win these! Thank you :-)
just found your blog through Amanda's blog - so happy I did!! I love your projects - you've inspired me to make produce bags - it always bothers me when I have to use the plastic ones.
thanks so much,
A.
