enjoying right now

So much good enjoyment going on right now. I'm loving these postcards I had made from my photos. The neat thing is that you can order a different image for all twenty postcards--so of course I did. I love the variety of images and how heavy the paper is. An extra bonus is that now I'm inspired to send little notes to friends. (Postcards are from Moo).
We're loving the first batch of strawberry freezer jam on our first "Artisan Bread" of the summer. Mmm.
. . . watching the boys play "fruitstand,"
. . . gathering flowers from our little cutting garden. It's not as full and vibrant as last year's, but I'm grateful for any blooms.
And I'm not sure if I'm "enjoying" these yet--although I certainly love the color. These are duck eggs our neighbor gave us last night. So pretty, but I feel surprisingly squeamish about eating them. (Will scramble them later this morning when the family is awake). Will report back.

I continue to have computer issues. I was disappointed to realize that somehow yesterday's post published without a bunch of links I had included. Seriously, not sure what's up with that. Will try to go back and fix that if I have time and my computer doesn't die on me.

Love, love the postcards. We are gobbling down our strawberry freezer jam, too.

Your postcards are beautiful... and your homemade bread and jam look delicious! My preschool class loved playing fruit stand, vegetable stand, lemonade stand, etc.

I can relate to being squeemish about the duck eggs and I know it's only because I've never eaten them. I'm curious what you'll think.

Postcards are really pretty, by the way.

The postcards are beautiful! Love the idea. Thanks for the link. I think I just might have to make up a batch of my own!

I have heard, from the guy we used to get our eggs from, that duck eggs are GREAT for baking - they have extra fats or something in them, to make baked goods fluffier.

Very pretty pictures. As for the eggs, don't feel squeamish! My husband never did like the duck and turkey eggs my folks would give us. So I would scramble them with chicken eggs. I don't think he ever noticed. If he did, he never mentioned it. I would also use the eggs for baking. Backyard eggs are the best. :)

My aunt has ducks and chickens, and when we were last visiting we ate some of each. I felt sort of the same way as you, but found the duck eggs to be delicious and pretty similar to the chicken eggs. She said they don't keep as long because of a more pourous shell, but that seemed to be the only difference. Love your postcards!
