what I love: summery meals

I'm so enjoying how our meals have taken a summery turn lately. Lots of fresh produce out there at this time of year.

This grilled vegetable sandwich was paired with a side of zucchini soup (the sandwich was so yummy! I highly recommend).
I love the way Ken sets out food on individual dishes. This was last week.
Last weekend I made pesto with spinach in it. Total yum (there's some zucchini added in in the end too. Zucchini in everything right now).

Mmmmm.... I am glad its close to lunch because your post made me hungry. We enjoyed a big bowl of grapes, blueberries, and cherries. And in my grilled turkey burger was avacado and tomato. Love summery meals, too.

That all looks so tasty! Your meals are looking awfully similar to ours lately. :)

All this food looks fabulous! I too have been enjoying salads and fresh local berries...I just bought a salad tub today so I have my own spicy salad leaves growing on my kitchen windowsill! First pick tomorrow....

A knitting pattern you might enjoy. Super easy once you get the hang of knitting in the round. This was first knitting project and it really was simple- the hats are too cool for words!

Enjoy!

Amy--I love that gnomey hat! Definitely my kind of thing. I actually printed out the pattern over a year ago, but I'm just moving really slowly on the knitting--I'm still working, every now and then, on the snake scarf. I'd love to make the gnome hat for Rainer, though. You are right, maybe that should be my next project.

Holden (5yo) read this with me and got more and more excited (and probably, hungry) with each picture! I agree - it all looks delicious!

Oh, yum!
Your table looks so pretty!
I also love Summery meals so fresh and light, sometimes in the Winter I crave a "Summer" meal potato salad, fresh fruit salad... : )
