little "last week" gifts

This week, Ken and the boys have been surprising me with a little present every day--to celebrate this "last week" of school. Monday Ken and Rainer bought me a hydrangea plant from Trader Joe's. Tuesday Dieter picked a special dandelion and put it in a vase. One day they brought home some deli salads to supplement our dinner. And yesterday when I got home I immediately noticed this herbal bundle hanging above our table--it's lovely and so fragrant. I'm sure the boys had a fabulous time wielding the clippers on the herb plants! And this morning they are taking me out to breakfast before I go to school. Woo! What a special treat. Here's wishing you all a wonderful start to this summer vacation--and may we all notice the "little gifts" all around us every day.
