Bread, hot from the oven . . .
plus hot cocoa, made from scratch . . . and a stack of thrifted plates . . .

plus delightful children (or as Faith is fond of saying, "loinfruit"),

make a delightful Saturday lunch.

Hey!!!! I could literally smell the bread and the hot chocolate! And considering all the wet weather we're having, it felt mentally comforting :) :)
PS: Wow...."loinfruit" hahahahaha

Hmmm...homemade hot chocolate.
"Loinfruit" cracked me up! Your daughter is such a teenager! Love it

I'm sitting in the car, catching up on blog reading and I just choked on my water and dribbled it all over me! She may be a teenager, but she seems sweet and spunky!

LOLOL on the Loinfruit, that is hilarious and my husband may just steal that term! And I love homemade hot cocoa! Such a treat on a nice fall-ish day!

I am looking for a bread recipe. Do you think you could share yours?

Amy--about the bread recipe. It's the basic "boule" recipe from Artisan Breads in Five Minutes a Day. I highly recommend the book! Not only does it make the great crusty white loaf in the picture, but there are so many interesting variations, and they are all super easy.
