A Midsummer Night Celebration

We had our midsummer night celebration. It's not officially midsummer, but this marks approximately the halfway point of our summer vacation, and more importantly, all the children, including the teens, were able to come. Hooray! I loved having the whole family together.
Faith and I made flower crowns. It was fun.
Faith only made the front part of hers, but it's so cute nonetheless.
Mine was all crazy big.
Trampoline fun on a midsummer night.
Dieter wore his butterfly crown.
We made fairy houses. The fairies come out on midsummer.

Ken's chalk drawing.
Dieter, Faith, Jacob, Rainer, and Ben. Love these kids!
We harvested our chamomile flowers for tea.

We played with ribbon sticks.
The bonfire. It was a great night. Happy midsummer to everyone!

Hey Mary Beth! You and Faith look gorgeous in your crowns! Very pretty. Looks like you all had a beautiful time and a fun celebration. I honestly didnt know about midsummer celebrations until I read about it on your blog (see so much of cultural exchange this blogging expce!!) :) Here, we're in the middle of our rainy season :) and my garden is full of snails (that are chomping down my plants) and earthworms and slugs. And the garden's just looking fresh and green! Cheerio!
