Little Meat Pies and Happy Solstice!

Here are the meat pies, for those of you who have been asking. This is a no-fail recipe for delightful little meat pies. We have them with our Solstice teas, but I think they would be charming as picnic food as well.
You can find the recipe here. I make mine just a bit differently. Instead of using ground pork as called for and seasoning it as directed, I buy fresh sausage from a little grocery we have here that makes their own. They have a real meat counter where they weigh out your order and wrap it in white paper for you. This morning the meat guy actually made the sausage fresh for me while I waited.
I love how they bake up all golden. They are wonderful to have in the fridge as leftovers too.

We had such a fun and full Solstice. Here is our table.
We had zucchini bread, of course!
We always have deviled eggs. The tea was great, but the big news was . . .
the boys got a new sandbox!! Built by Ken these last two days--it's wonderful!
We played, read the new Summer books, danced with the babies. I hope your summer celebration is just as bright.

MB, what dough did you use to make your meat pies. Yours look much better than the recipe website....

Irina--honestly, it was just a box of Pillsbury pie crust. I'm not a big fan of making pastry dough, and this recipe is just right for a busy cooking day.

Those look so yummy! I do love deviled eggs far too much, and I am so very jealous of your set of circle cutter-thingies! I only have one size and I *really* have a thing for sets...
