Beanbag Frogs for the Easter Baskets

This week I made beanbag frogs for the kids' Easter baskets. Working on this little craft project has been great stress relief for me. Choosing the fabrics from my little stash was especially satisfying; certain fabrics that hadn't seemed right for anything else seemed perfect for these frogs. The pattern is free, here, and the frogs are super quick and easy to stitch up. Last year I made bunnies for their baskets, so I didn't want to do that two years in a row, but next year I'll make these ones--so cute.

I did speak with the doctor yesterday evening and he had Rainer's lab results back. Rainer still has 32% leukemia cells in his marrow, which makes him a "slow early responder" as I feared (I suspected that when he still had 55% the week before). He'll get extra chemo--a longer "induction" phase than the rapid early responders and the standard resonders. The doctor says the cure rate for the slow responders is the same though and of course we are still optimistic about him being cured. Pray.

Happy Easter weekend to all.

The frogs are just great - I think I will be making a few for my boys too.

And here's hoping the best for Rainer - I will definitely keep him in my prayers.

gorgeous frogs - glad they helped with the stress...

sorry Rainer will have to go through more chemo than you'd hoped, but hope the end result will be what he needs
