Over the weekend this little guy turned 16 months old. I haven't done a little Rainer update in awhile--oh how he has grown. The biggest news is that he is really talking. Single words all (I don't think he's put two words together yet) but he's in that stage where he comes up with all sorts of words here and there that you didn't know he had. Ken and I tried to count them the other night and we think he has 30 words. So fun. One of his favorite words is "urse" for "nurse" which he asks for by name now. He loves his "ursey" and he'll ask to switch sides with a sheepish little smile. But he's also such a gruff guy too. He hits his brother, unfortunately, but I think at least half of that is just enthusiastic patting. He shakes his head "no" vehemently when he doesn't want something. Lately when he sees his grandmother he starts shaking "no" immediately because he thinks he's going to be left with her (which he sometimes is so mommy and daddy can go out). He's been working on 4 molars for weeks now. He has three of them but that forth one is giving him all kinds of trouble. Hopefully it will be in soon, as it has been making him cranky. Mostly he is just this fun loving little baby guy who loves rhymes and bonking heads and dinging noses and blueberries and being carried. Happy sixteen months, little guy.
I'm going to be taking the rest of the week off from the blog. It's not that I'm uninspired--I always have a hundred and one ideas, practically; it's just that the time management piece is not working for me right now, and I need a little break and hopefully just a bit more sleep. I'll be back next week. Enjoy this last week of February!

have a nice little break!
I think it is great to have a break! We tend to go, go, go in this culture. You know-do it all and have it all. It takes fortitude to slow down or more to stop doing something.
If you don't take a break your body can sometimes force it upon you in an unpleasant manner(personal experience).
So, take abreak and enjoy!
have a lovely break, look forward to seeing you back nice and refreshed and rested...it's important to do that stuff too!
take care of yourself, rest and relax!
Take care of yourself. It is good to have a break, we do get caught up in go, go, go and I think being a mom (I am sure I am going to find)we are on the move a lot. Enjoy your free week and we look forward to hearing all about what you have been up to when you return.
What a sweet little guy you have there. Happy 16 months! And have a good blog break, well earned, I'd say.

It's great to go on a bloggy break and then slowly come back just because there are so many things you're itching to share.
Be strong little guy. Thinking of you all.
