So I finally got around to making the Reversible Apron from Lotta Jansdotter's
Simple Sewing. Love. It. I was immediately drawn to this project
when I got the book and have been looking forward to making it ever since. It does not disappoint. I love the shaped hem and the slight fittedness that the pleats and side seams give it.
I chose a linen blend for the solid color (incidentally, I got about 4 yards of this very wide linen for 60% off at Joanne's this summer and that is one of the smartest things I've ever done. I can't stop using and loving this linen) and an Amy Butler print for the reverse.
With my time constraints I was really trying to convince myself just to press on and not add any embellishments, but I
could not resist embroidering this little tea cup.
Dieter was very interested in the smock and wanted to try it on. I think the boys need art smocks soon, no?

I lOVE your version of this apron, loveeee it! My sisters, mom, aunt, and grandma and I are doing an apron swap at Christmas and I have to make one apron to put in it... I want to copy yours, seriously!! linen, amy butler, teacup and all!! beautiful!!
