Baby Pant Love

One of life's simple pleasures: making these fun and simple baby pants! Since we had a long weekend, and since I followed through last night on my plan to get the kids to bed by 7:30, I was able to make these baby pants for Rainer while the boys slept. He has some new solid colored shirts and I've been inspired to make him unique pants to go with them. I'd love to make more and they're so easy, I may just be able to.
These ones have pockets with fabric from my stash and an embroidered owl detail on the front. To be honest, I haven't tried them on him yet (it's super hot here, and these are more of a fall pant) but I think I got the size about right this time.
And this afternoon I whipped out the machine and the ironing board again (no sewing corner here--not yet anyway) so I could alter the fit on these linen pants I made for him last week. I'm so loving the fabric and the gnomes I was determined to make the needed adjustments. Originally they were too low waisted, so I took out the casing an added an actual waistband. It was easy and satisfying--now they fit great--a bit high wasted if anything, but for babies that seems about right.
And the best part? One more "to do" to check off at this overwhelming time of year.
