What I Love: New Books

Oh Amazon, how I love you! Isn't Amazon.com just the greatest invention ever? Love. It. So, recently I treated myself to a little Amazon shop up, and around the same time a surprise birthday gift arrived from my brother, books he ordered off my Wishlist. How great is that?
The tasty morsels include: The Crafter's Companion, profiles of crafters, what inspires them, and a project from each, two vintage books, Better Homes and Gardens Stitchery and Crafts, and Applique Stitchery, by Jean Ray Laury (both from the 60's/70's and very mod in a good way), and two that my brother chose, which I love, Cooking Light Superfast Suppers (making dinner from that tonight)

and this Japanese gem, Sock and Glove. It's just gorgeous in its photography, the projects are adorable, and the writing is fanciful and imaginative and engaging. I just love it, and I can't wait to sew some soft sock creatures for Dieter and Rainer. School is fast approaching, and my crafting will slow down to a trickle or stop altogether (sniff), but at least I'll have plenty of inspiration to read about.

I love amazon for their used books---I haven't bought a new one in the longest time, and I have yet to be disappointed in the used ones. I keep the ones I want to get on a wish list and keep checking back for new sellers listing at the best possible price. Have fun with your new stash!!
