Late Night Crafting and Etc.

Stayed up late last night making marble magnets. I was inspired by the ones Faith and her friend made at Faith's party, and I've really been wanting to make some more--for my office when I return to work next week. When the new Magic Cabin catalogue arrived I saw that the perfect images had delivered themselves to me--little fairies and lanterns and lillypads. So cute and so easy and satisfying.

In other news, the bread I started yesterday is risen, baked, and sampled. It is good, and yes, a crusty, chewy, bakery style loaf. The interior is soft/chewy, with lots of holes, and the flavor is bready and salty, but not yeasty. I thought it was quite good, but I did have some problems and I'll do a few things differently next time.
And finally finally I am starting the binding on the quilt! I can't say how thrilled I am to be at this step--I never meant to be stalled this long. Finally, now, there's an end in sight and I should be done before school starts. Hooray!
