Is it Really So Wrong?

We had a small garage sale on Sunday and I could not resist pulling these tea sets out of it. Actually, they never should have been in, but Faith was selling a lot of her childhood stuff and she brought out her huge tea set collection along with everything else. I'm not a pack rat at all, just the opposite in fact--I throw out everything and I hate clutter but I love LOVE these tea sets. Even though my little ones are boys, we can still enjoy a few little teas with the stuffed animals, can't we?
Most of these were purchased over the years from either Magic Cabin or Hearthsong and as far as I know they're still offerred. This Halloween set in particular I think I see every year in the catalog (and I think it's the most boyish too). So they're not collector's items by any means, just darn cute. I'll save these for my grandkids.
The Christmas set.
And my favorite, "Hans and Inga." Hans is on the teapot--here you see Inga on a turtle. Love that.
Dieter had his turn at pulling something out of the yard sale too--"Big Baby." He played with her quite awhile. That boy is in touch with his nurturing side!

I'm so proud of you! I know your impulse to clear out. But I love those tea sets also. I'm also impressed that you had a garage sale right before you went back to work. You are much braver than I am. I have a four day weekend and I can't wait. If I'd have known this week was going to be as long as it has been, I'd have made plans to fly to CA.
